India has jumped to the first spot in the WTC 2023-25 points table: India will face England for the last Test in Dharamshala.

India has jumped to the top of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table as mighty Australia beat New Zealand in their first Test in Wellington on Sunday.

With the defeat the Kiwis faced a major points drop percentage (PCT) as they lost their first match on their home ground. The Aussies have recorded a major victory with 172-run as Cameron Green has scored test hundred in the first-innings and Nathan Lyon’s exceptional ten-wicket match has led the Aussies to victory. After the defeat the PCT for new zealand has dropped down from 75 to 60. While Australia got their PCT improved from 55 to 59.09. Aussies have won their seventh match out of the eleven matches they have played in this cycle.

The second test between New Zealand and Australia will be at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch from March 3-March 8.

Meanwhile the kiwis will face Sri Lanka in Sri lanka and then India later this year. They also have a scheduled series against England at home in the month of November-December.

Aussies have two series left before the finals Australia will face the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India in late 2024. Australia also have a scheduled two-Test tour to Sri Lanka in January 2025.

Meanwhile the Indian team will face England in their fifth test of the ongoing series against England.

They will have a chance to improve their lead and come at the top of the WTC standings. India have won 5 out of 8 matches in which they have 2 draw games and 1 draw. England is in the eighth position as they have faced their sixth defeat.

England has also lost 19 points because of a slow over rate offence. The points table has Sri Lanka at the bottom with two losses from as many games.
