Harshit Rana has been fined 60 percent of the match fees for breaching the IPL code of conduct: BCCI

After KKRs four-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, bowler Harshit Rana was fined 60% of his match fees for violating the IPL Code of Conduct. Rana committed two Level 1 offences under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Set of principles. 

He was fined 10% and 50 percent of his match charges for the two individual offences. Rana accepted the sanction of the Match Referee and acknowledged the two offences. 

For Level 1 breaks of the General set of rules, the Match Arbitrator’s choice is conclusive and restricting. In a nail-biting match, Harshit Rana delivered a last over to defend 13 runs as KKR defeated SRH by 13 runs in the Match 3 of IPL 2024. 

Heinrich Klassen played a great innings to take SRH to the limit of triumph, however Harshit Rana didn’t allow them to make the winning runs and KKR dominated their most memorable match this season.

 KKR’s Andre Russell also delivered a dangerous 50 and partnership well with Rinku Singh to take his team score past 200.
